Embrace Your Natural Beauty

We don't need collagen to plump up our lips
A strong nation was produced from our curvy hips
Tighlty coiled tresses are our crown and glory
Take your hair off the creamy crack and let it tell it's story
"Natural Beauty" comes in many colors and forms
Stop the madness that is causing so much harm
The image in the mirror is not that of you
You have been lied to; wake up Boo
Unleash your "Natural Beauty" and let it shine
Get your swag on girl; you know you fine

TLC for Children's Hair

Greetings and welcome to a new year!
With each New Year, we resolve to make changes in our lives. Some we keep, some we don't. One that I would encourage everyone who cares for a "Precious Little One" is to take better care of their hair. The absolute worse thing that is done to their little heads is the application of sodium hydroxide products; relaxers, texturizers! Please, please, please, don't do it! They can't tell you that they don't want this burning concoctions in their little heads without you yelling at them and proceeding! Believe me, there are products that will make caring for their hair easier on you and them.
1. Allow them to participate in grooming their hair.
2. Put their favorite movie in and allow them to choose from special snacks reserved for their grooming session
3. Allow them to choose the beads and/or ornaments.
4. Begin with a comb out product.
5. Always use a large tooth comb to untangle their hair beginning at the ends and work towards the scalp.
6. Do not groom their hair when you are upset or agitated. They will feel your anger in their heads.
